It’s Been a Pretty Cool Summer So Far

This morning I realized it’s been over a month since I last posted anything new here to my blog – whoa!  I guess that what happens when you’re living in Seattle and don’t really have to work all of the time…

Beginning next week I’m planning to spend a considerably larger amount of my time on this here blog project, including some pretty big updates around the Traffic and Profiles sections of my website.  Recent developments in the IM niche (SEC action (finally) against Traffic Monsoon, TE Paypal limitations, etc) tell me it’s more important than ever to know with whom you’re doing business online – and that’s kinda the direction this blog was heading anyhow…more focus on “who’s who” in my favorite IM niches, and less about which “shiny new program” is launching, etc.

Oh – and we’ll get back to blogging, of course.

In the meantime, I’m spending as little time as possible online, and instead enjoying the sights, sounds, and everything else that goes with living in Seattle – easily one of the coolest cities on the planet.  My line of work keeps me “near the action” downtown, including some of the hippest shows to hit our theaters.  After my holiday back east in early July, it was pretty cool to come right back and scratch something off my bucket list…

Alice in Chains – in a mid-sized venue – in Seattle.

Sure, we’re all older now – the band and fans alike – but for this dude from NC, that show was still way cool.

I’m starting to dig this city 🙂

I am a believer in back ups so do believe I have what is important. What I need help with is monetizing it so looking forward to learning from you.

    • HI Fran, good to hear there’s another blogging fan out there! As you can tell, I’m on a little summer break, but look forward to sharing tips on running a monetized blog in our industry as he summer winds down. Cheers!

  3. Oh man, I bet that was one great show. Thanks for sharing about the good time you had. 🙂 Wish I could’ve been there. You’ve seemed like a cool guy, since I first heard of you when I was a member of your TE.

    • Hi Gary – yes, an awesome show, no doubt! Although this “cool guy” is all-too-quickly getting older, that was definitely a big show to scratch from my bucket list. On a related note, we’ve got the Temple of the Dog cats coming in November – and you can bet it’s on the list as well. Cheers!
